Momentos (VII)

Narrator:
No one would have believed in the early years of the 21st century that our world was being watched by intelligences greater than our own; that as men busied themselves about their various concerns, *they* observed and studied, the way a man with a microscope might scrutinize the creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. With infinite complacency, men went to and from about the globe, confident of our empire over this world. Yet across the gulf of space, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic regarded our planet with envious eyes and slowly, and surely, drew their plans against us.

Rachel Ferrier: Is it them? Is it them?

Momentos (VI)

Romeo: Did my heart love 'til now? Forswear its sight.
For I never saw true beauty 'til this night.

Juliet: And when I shall die, take him and cut him up in little stars,
and he will make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will fall in love with night
and pay no worship to the garish sun.

Juliet:
O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name, or if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, and I'll no longer be a Capulet.
Romeo: Shall I hear more, or shall I speak at this?
Juliet: 'Tis but thy name that is my enemy, thou art thyself though not a Montague. What is Montague? It is nor hand, nor foot, nor arm, nor face, nor any other part belonging to a man. Oh, what's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other word would smell as sweet; so Romeo would, were he not Romeo called, retain that dear perfection to which he owes without that title. Romeo, doff thy name!
And for thy name, which is no part of thee, take all myself.

Romeo:
Is love a tender thing? It is too rough, too rude, too boisterous,
and it pricks like thorn.

Momentos (V)

John Givings: Hopeless emptiness. Now you've said it.
Plenty of people are onto the emptiness, but it takes real guts to see the hopelessness.

April Wheeler: Tell me the truth, Frank, remember that? We used to live by it. And you know what's so good about the truth?
Everyone knows what it is however long they've lived without it.
No one forgets the truth, Frank, they just get better at lying.

Momentos (IV)...

Van Helsing: She lives beyond the grace of God, a wanderer in the outer darkness. She is "vampyr", "nosferatu". These creatures do not die like the bee after the first sting, but instead grow strong and become immortal once infected by another nosferatu.
So, my friends we fight not one beast but legions that go on age after age after age, feeding on the blood of the living
.

Mina: I want to be what you are, see what you see, love what you love.
Dracula: Mina, to walk with me you must die to your breathing life and be reborn to mine.
Mina: You are my love... and my life, always.

Dracula: Then, I give you life eternal. Everlasting love. The power of the storm. And the beasts of the earth. Walk with me to be my loving wife, forever.

Momentos (III)...

[SPOILER de "Watchmen"]

Rorschach:
Rorschach's Journal: October 12th, 1985.
Tonight, a comedian died in New York.

Rorschach:
I heard a joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life is harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world.
Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. The great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go see him. That should pick you up."
Man bursts into tears. Says, "But doctor... I am Pagliacci."
Good joke. Everybody laugh. Roll on snare drum. Curtains.

Edward Blake: Once you realize what a joke everything is,
being the Comed
ian is the only thing that makes sense.

Momentos (II)...

Juan Antonio: Maria Elena used to say that only unfulfilled love can be romantic.

Juan Antonio: We are meant for each other and not meant for each other. It's a contradiction.

Maria Elena: You're still searching for me in every woman.

Larry: You think because you don't love us, or desire us,
or even like us, you think you've won.

Alice: It's not a war.
